Super Soft Seating

Super Soft Seating
Cate & Nelson’s Netframe for Offecct

Nine stylish seating options – in vibrant colours and modular arrangements – from the likes of B&B Italia, Herman Miller and Offecct.

1 Andy by B&B Italia
Ideal for living or family rooms, Paolo Piva’s 2002 sofa that transforms into a chaise longue was relaunched this year in four new depths. By simply raising its back, Andy also becomes a bed.

2 Ribbon by Paola Lenti

The weighted arm- and backrests of Claesson Koivisto Rune’s modular seating can be rearranged to form endless configurations. Suited to residential or contract use, the puffy sofa appears to float.

3 Superkink by Blå Station

Defined by the bending of its lacquered steel tube frame, the Superkink collection is an update to the Straw and Kink series that Berlin design studio Osko+Deichmann debuted in 2010. The new armchair and sofa are padded in polyurethane foam and upholstered in fabric or leather, with plastic feet.

4 Contemporary by Fendi Casa

Italian fashion house Fendi photographed the campaign for its newest furniture collection, Contemporary, in a modern villa on the border of Morocco’s desert – the same geographical region that inspired the minimalist line. Available in a selection of residential-friendly fabrics and leathers.

5 Aqua by Palliser

This modular seating series includes such options as armless chairs, corner seats and ottomans, that together create configurations at home in corporate lobbies as well as living rooms. It comes in a selection of fabrics and leathers.

6 Swoop by Herman Miller

Designer Brian Kane felt traditional lounge furniture inhibited movement, so he removed the edges from his contract seating to encourage people to “swoop in and connect with others.” The modular system allows users to position a table or ottoman almost anywhere around the seating, making it ideal for busy offices.

7 Cannes by Kenzo Maison

Paris fashion house Kenzo wrapped the back- and armrests of its latest sofa, suitable for homes or hotels, with quilted upholstery that lends it a tailored but cozy feel.

8 Prestige by Selene

A modern take on the traditional wingback chair, this lounger and footrest from Toronto’s Selene is ideal for living rooms or lobbies.

9 Netframe by Cate & Nelson for Offecct

London studio Cate & Nelson designed its first seating collection with an emphasis on sustainability. The comfortable sofas and easy chairs with netted backs were produced with minimal material.
