Stockholm Furniture Fair 2018 is underway in Sweden. Here are five beautiful new collections that are launching at the event.

The Oslo/New York architecture firm chose the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair to launch its first product design, the Flik Flak series of lamps. Including floor, table and wall sconce versions, the collection is characterized by a sleek profile. The firm originally created this non-intrusive luminaire for one of its smallest projects, the 7th Room, its contribution to the Swedish Tree Hotel. Each iteration pairs a slim black rod with a book-shaped shade, made of two birch veneer slats joined by a piano hinge. The LED strips inside reflect off the natural wood to create a soft, warm glow.

Swedish architect Anna von Schewen created a tiny adaptable space with this generously proportioned armchair. The tall sides offer sound absorbing properties that help form a cozy, private space for reading or recharging; fold them down to create a more social atmosphere. As equally suited to residential settings as hotel lobbies or libraries, the seat comes in a variety of upholsteries, as well as a short, non-folding version.

Form Us With Love is expanding the Baux line of wood wool acoustic panels with these curvilinear additions, which are ideal for grand-scale installations. The 25-millimetre-thick panels “break the grid by spanning two linear panel paths. They can be used by their selves, or combined with our existing linear panels to create sensational acoustic designs,” says the Swedish studio’s founder, Jonas Petterson.

Designed for the Spanish brand by Neri & Hu, this console is part of a new collection built from a common language established with the original Solo chair. The curved glass walls wrap a wood frame, available in black walnut or white oak. Delicate brushed brass handles complete the piece.

Additionally, the brand is reintroducing the Pot lounge chair, which Arne Jacobsen designed, along with Egg and Swan, for SAS Royal Hotel in 1958. The chair, which was featured in the Copenhagen hotel’s winter garden and Orchid Bar, will be sold in a variety of Fritz Hanse colours with a base in chromed steel or powder-coated dark brown.

The 2018 edition of the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair runs until February 10, 2018
