1 Map by Kvadrat
Copenhagen artist Vibeke Rohland overlayed patterns of dots to create this abstract landscape. Each version consists of three colours: the base tone of the fabric and dots in two colours, with seven combinations in total, ranging from neutrals to rich navy and purple.
2 Grand Blotch Damask by Timorous Beasties
Part of the Glasgow company’s Rorschach collection, this regal cotton fabric for curtains or light upholstery combines the abstract inkblot with a traditional damask pattern.
3 Sixto by Kinnasand
Taking cues from contemporary building forms, this semi-transparent cotton-batiste drapery textile by the German mill is covered in hexagons.
4 Edsviken by Almedahls
Architecture firm Claesson Koivisto Rune partnered up with the Swedish textile company to create a graphic polyester curtain voile that comes in five colourways and takes its name from an inlet of the Baltic Sea known for its lush flora and fauna.
5 Vases by Maharam
The motif on Hella Jongerius’s playful upholstery fabric is based on her porcelain Red White Vase for Droog. The rainbow-hued Vases employs a variety of textural weaves, including plain, pinstripe and twill, to mimic the overlapping blocks of translucent, coloured ceramic glaze.
