Eurocucina, the world’s biggest kitchen and appliance biennial and a major part of Milan design week, serves as centre stage for the launch of spectacular systems by the likes of Snaidero, Scavolini and Arclinea. Here are five new lines to check out at the fair and off-site.
1. Snaidero
In addition to peeling back the curtain on the updated Mini-Code (a smaller version of Code that’s meant for tighter spaces) and the Ola20 system designed by Pininfarina, Snaidero presents the ultra-futuristic Board. Designed by architect Petro Arosio, the flexible and customizable system also responds to the demands of smaller scale living, whether one-bedroom lofts or shared spaces.
2. Scavolini
Scavolini has collaborated with Diesel’s Successful Living brand on the Diesel Social Kitchen. The sleek system incorporates materials, treatments and finishes that define Diesel’s refined patina. It will be on display at both Eurocucina and Superstudio Piú in Zona Tortona.
3. GD Cucine
In the Brera Design District, this Treviso-based company launches two new systems: Space and an updated version of the award-winning Argento Vivo, glammified with a glittering mosaic of tiny tesserae.
4. Arclinea
Not only is Arclinea unveiling a dazzling new showroom on Corso Monforte, the Vincenza-based manufacturer is also debuting the spacious Legrabox drawer and the new Artusi outdoor kitchen, designed by long-time collaborator Antonio Citterio.
5. SieMatic
First unveiled at IMM Cologne, Germany’s SieMatic brings the BeauxArts 2.0 system to Eurocucina for its Italian premiere. Designed by Mick De Giulio (who’s also behind the first iteration of BeauxArts), this kitchen is lighter and leaner. For instance, pulls and handles are recessed, tall wall-panel cabinets feature sterling grey glass fronts and a mirrored toe-kick makes the cabinetry appear as if it’s floating.
