1 Volta by Primitivo
Mixing an industrial look with an elegant appeal, these pendants feature a glossy black electro-painted iron shade with details in warm wood and polished brass for a rich contrast. A steel tensor wire on each of the four curvy fixtures, designed by the Chilean trio of Lucas Ballochi, Jose Luis Barrientos and Abel Cárcamo, adjusts the height.

2 Simbiosi by Davide Groppi
Suspended from superthin wires, these strikingly simple cylinders can be arranged and rearranged in endless configurations, allowing for flexibility in both design and illumination. A single red wire connects the matte-finished metal lights.

3 Mute by Eureka Lighting
Resembling a pleated skirt, the 12 felt-like panels of this large-format pendant provide a sound-dampening effect ideal for busy workspaces or contract environments. Available in charcoal, red or beige, the custom LED module has a frosted acrylic lens for softly diffused light.

Azure-Tom-Dixon-Melt-01

4 Melt by Tom Dixon and Front
With its sunken-in, almost fluid shape, Melt – by Tom Dixon in collaboration with Swedish design studio Front – makes a statement whether hung alone or clustered in a group. The irregular orb’s metallic finishes (gold, copper or chrome) appear opaque when the light is off and become translucent when turned on.

5 Hex by LightArt
Part of the LA2 Essentials line of lightweight LED fixtures, this geometric pendant works wonders in minimal aesthetics. Handmade from 3Form’s Varia Ecoresin, the fixtures can be installed solo or be mixed with other shapes in the series (a square, triangle and circle). Shades are available in four wood finishes or over 1,000 colourways.

6 Hotaru pendants by Ozeki & Co
Launched at London Design Festival, these lovely lamps are a collaboration between Barber Osgerby, twentytwentyone and Japanese lantern makers Ozeki & Co. Employing traditional techniques, Mulberrry bark washi paper is stretched over a delicate bamboo frame, with the translucency of the paper casting a soft glow. Two versions are available: Double Bubble and Buoy.
