With Guide, Stefan Diez used a robotic etching technique to detail an open-ended cylindrical tube of borosilicate glass, giving it a subtle detail that come to live once the light is turned on.
The engravings refract, reflect and radiate the LED source, which is contained in a thin strip of black-finished aluminum placed along the top, and a sensor allows the light to be dimmed or brightened by a wave of the hand rather than a switch.
