This summer, two of Toronto’s most exciting design events are taking place back to back, with the AZ Awards Gala on June 21 and AZURE Talks with Martha Schwartz on June 22.
On June 21, join our AZ Awards Guest of Honour, the renowned landscape architect Martha Schwartz and top designers, architects and industry professionals from across Canada and the globe for the 2019 AZ Awards Gala – Toronto’s design event of the summer.
Winners, including the People’s Choice, will be revealed at the gala, held at Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works on Friday, June 21. The next day, Azure will host a talk by Martha Schwartz, who will discuss how her profession can take on the climate crisis. Get your bundle tickets to both events now and save!

On Saturday, June 22 at 2pm, Azure will host a talk by Martha Schwartz at the Waterfront Campus of George Brown College (51 Dockside Drive, Room 237). Titled “Landscape, Art and My Existential Crisis,” Schwartz’s lecture will touch on highlights from an unparalleled 40-year career at the height of the design profession and then focus on her “second career” – in academia and beyond – of encouraging others to take on the aim of achieving climate sustainability.
The AZ Awards are generously presented by Ceragres, Keilhauer and Landscape Forms; and sponsored by Cosentino, Design Within Reach, Farrow & Ball, George Brown College, Lualdi, and TAS. The gala sponsors are Alpi, Dark Tools, Formica, and Scavolini.
Martha Schwartz’s participation at the AZ Awards Gala is made possible by the support of Dark Tools.
